The rain feels like acid.
It must be acid.
I can't remember any rain like this one.
I look up to the sky and things don't seem right.

The time that had passed was short, still it felt like centuries had come and gone.

The rain drops splatter on the ground echoing in my ears like a thousand screams of pain.

It´s dark. I can barely see a few feet in front of me. "How has it all come to this?" - I ask myself in a single thought that appeared to resonate in the emptyness that surrounds me.

The rain at times didn´t come alone, and today was one of those times. The slight breeze carried a chill that slapped me with its coarse hands. A few drops of rain fell through the back of my neck. They might as well been knives rolling down every inch of my back. I adjust my jacket collar in a futile attempt to cover myself.

"I can´t let this go on any further" - I tell myself. Out of the depths of my thoughts the light appeared. Yes, that light that always made me go forward. It´s glow embracess me. "Did the rain stop?" I ask myself. It must have because I don´t feel it anymore. The warmth that the light carries soothes me completely. It gently rolls down my torso until it engulps me. I am defenseless against it, but then again I never put up a fight to begin with. The breeze has disappeared. For a moment, the ground under my feet disperses like clouds on a bright sunny day.

Suddendly, a squeeling sound that quickly turns into an enourmes explosing breaks the spell. The thunder was closer than I had thought. I was back in hell. I opened my eyes and in a determined way began to walk down the street.

It was all a dream. I used to like having vivid dreams until these nightmares came along. But, what if they're trying to tell me something. Nonsense, they're just dreams, right?
